XOXO Promotions is a boutique online publicity agency run by Talia Kraines, specialising in exciting, new pop music from emerging artists. We aren’t about getting as many clients as we can. In fact we can’t think of anything worse than trying to convince people something is amazing when it isn’t. We work with artists, managers and record labels where we really believe in the product and would be shouting about it (in a slightly quieter fashion) even if we weren’t being instructed to.
As a long term blogger, music journalist and radio producer, Talia has spent enough time on the receiving side of emails promising the ‘next big thing’ to know how and who to approach with a new artist. We don’t want our artists glimpsed at & forgotten about so to make sure that doesn’t happen we take the personal approach and excite journalists by harnessing new digital advances to produce exciting content. Sure we’ll get them interviewed and reviewed on all the best sites, but we’ll also create Spotify playlists to show their music tastes, let the public into their world thanks to twitter, or even get them making their own podcasts on audioboo.
Especially important to us are music blogs. We find most of our new favourite songs out on the blogosphere, so it’s as important to treat bloggers as just as key a promotional tool as your established web editor. Over the years, we’ve built up great relationships with some of the best pop bloggers out there and we’re always keen to introduce them to our artists, usually with great effect.
Having previously worked with the likes of Girls Aloud, McFly and the Sugababes, XOXO is delighted to be working with the next generation of pop stars from Jive Records, RCA, Columbia and various independent labels. We hope to include you in that list very soon.
